Update: Connection Failure messages, at least for me, seem connected to phone security settings. I had some NordVPN always-on protection setting activated and this got in the way somehow. Point being, if you're having connection issues and have tried the obvious stuff like clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and restarting your device, play with your settings, and you might find it works.

Bought and used Menard inspection camera for the first time today. This review covers the software, and the hardware. The software is fine. Nothing fancy, does what it needs to do. Annoying that I can't download files from the app directly to my camera roll (android) but that's a minor complaint. I had no trouble connecting my phone to the device the hardware is great, actually. Durable, 640x480 resolution which is not great but workable. For $80 this was a fine buy👍

Terrible app. I set everything up as instructed. The camera claims it connects but nothing ever shows up on the phone. I have the latest Android version (11) on the Galaxy S21 G5. Going to return it to Menard and get something from Amazon.

Device doesn't work due to Android update, anybody who buys this take it back and get an inspection camera with a screen.
