■ Overview
Music and video play from files on your device; podcasts stream from public RSS feeds or download ahead. All three share one playlist and sound chain; resume positions are kept per type.
The eleven DSP stages (processing steps) use no external libraries.
■ How the sound is built
Sound settings show the processing order and each stage's state, as "Simple" (switches) or "Pro" (details); recommended defaults are one tap away.
1. The chain
De-clip → MA Tone → Tube → Vinyl → Tape → 10-band EQ → Space Reverb → Crossfeed → Voice boost → Studio Clear → Limiter. The final limiter keeps the original's peaks and only holds back the overshoot the effects add.
2. Tone and EQ
MA Tone gathers the deepest bass into mono and balances tone with a tilt (lows against highs); it is off by default. Tube, Vinyl and Tape add analog texture. The EQ follows the RBJ Audio EQ Cookbook in five or ten bands. Volume leveling follows broadcast standard ITU-R BS.1770-4 once switched on.
3. De-clip, Studio Clear, space
De-clip restores clipped waveform tops where it clearly helps. Studio Clear reinforces highs lost to compression from the harmonics that remain. Space Reverb offers eight spaces, studio to cathedral. Crossfeed (a little channel blending on headphones, as with speakers) defaults to Natural; virtual surround 360° is included.
4. Original versus processed
The Output analyzer rates headroom (room below the peak), clipping, dynamics, tone and stereo width; switching "Sound effects on" off plays the original. Pro adds true peak (dBTP), gain reduction and latency meters, plus TPDF dither (noise that hides bit-reduction distortion).
■ 110 spectrum meters
LED matrix, Retro VU and more. A new install starts with the spectrum on; otherwise tap Spectrum in the player. Hold a meter and drag to choose among 110, from dials to physics scenes such as an eclipse corona, drawn with GPU shaders (Android 13+). The meters analyze the sound you hear in 27 bands. Full-screen flashes stay at three a second or fewer, per WCAG 2.3.1.
■ Jog wheel and screen
In disc mode the album art is the jog wheel and moves exactly as far as you turn it, twelve steps to a turn; ten of the modes need Android 13+. Video gets a ring jog wheel. The seek step is 5 to 60 seconds, shared by notifications, headsets and widgets. Foldables and tablets show list and player in two panes; there are five home widgets and six accent colors.
■ Library and playback
MP3, FLAC, WAV, APE and M4A music and MP4 and MKV video; APE is kept as is and converted once to a lossless FLAC copy for playback. Lyrics never go online; only synced lyrics in the file (ID3 LRC or .lrc) are read. Browse by track, album, artist, genre, composer, folder or quality.
Podcasts offer new-episode alerts, speed, voice boost and OPML import.
■ How to use it
Try everything free for 14 days. You start it yourself on the first-run guide's last step (no payment method, one time only), and the app shows the days left at each launch. To keep going, choose lifetime, paid once, or a 3-month pass (prepaid, no automatic payment); promo codes and gift cards work too. Google Play handles payment and refunds.
■ Our promise
No account to create. We send no listening history or playback patterns to any server.
