Odumak Weather

1. OVERVIEW

Odumak Weather reads today and the next sixteen days on one screen, saying what to wear, when rain starts and stops and which grade the air has reached. Values are computed on the device.

1.1 The application is free, with no in-app purchase, subscription, account or login.
1.2 The application carries no advertisement, and features once opened by watching one are all open from the start.
1.3 The install size is about 5.5MB, and fetched forecasts remain readable offline.
1.4 The display language is chosen in the settings from nine options; the device language is untouched.

2. MAIN FEATURES

2.1 Clothing for today
Temperature and nine weather conditions decide top, bottom, footwear and accessories. Rain adds an umbrella, bad air a mask, and heat or severe cold a warning.

2.2 Start and end of precipitation
The remaining time is stated as a sentence, such as "rain in about 20 minutes".

2.3 The 24 solar terms
Dates are computed on the device from the longitude of the sun. Four terms appear first; "show all" lists the rest.

2.4 The moon
Phase, illumination, moonrise, moonset and the days to the full moon are calculated on the device.

2.5 Air quality
Particulate levels are coloured by the grade bands of the Korean air quality standard https://www.me.go.kr. Ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and the UV index are included.

2.6 Radar and typhoon tracks
Rain clouds and their direction are drawn over a map. A wind overlay is switched on and off with the button at the right of the map. A typhoon's past path is solid and its forecast path is dashed.

2.7 Activities for the next three hours
Seven activities, from running to golf, are rated good, fair or not advised from rain, temperature, UV, wind, particulates and cloud.

2.8 Length of the daily forecast
The forecast covers 7, 10, 14 or 16 days.

2.9 Super Boost
Three features are open from the start, with no pass and no countdown: Cities side by side, the Weather diary and World weather, 27 cities on six continents by local time.

3. FEATURE LIST

3.1 Forecast
The hourly forecast carries a temperature graph and, when rain is expected, precipitation bars for six hours. The daily forecast gives the high, the low, the rain probability and the difference from the same hour yesterday. The detail table holds apparent temperature, humidity, dew point, wind, gusts, pressure and UV index; touching a value explains it.

3.2 Daily life
Outfit advice offers five outfits to choose from, and six indices cover laundry, car washing, umbrella, discomfort, cold risk and walking.

3.3 Alerts and widget
Alerts for the morning summary, precipitation, air quality and severe weather run only once enabled. The temperature can appear in the status bar, and the widget takes four layouts by cell size.
When a new version is out, the main screen says so in one line, and "Get it" downloads it inside the application. The store handles the installation. The notice can be turned off in the settings; when off, the application does not check, so no data or battery is used.

3.4 Settings
Cities are searched and stored; the location can refresh on opening. Ten designs are available, three of them skies drawn live by the device. Four text sizes, Celsius or Fahrenheit, a 12 or 24 hour clock and thirteen switchable sections are available.

3.5 Other
The current screen can be shared as an image. The application does not collect, store or transmit personal information.
