MeshCore Open is a free, open-source Android app that turns your MeshCore LoRa device into a powerful mesh communication system. It’s built for reliability, privacy, and independence—ideal for remote travel, emergency preparedness, events, or building your own private network.

Off-Grid Messaging Send and receive text messages over LoRa radio with no cell towers, no internet, and no monthly fees. Messages automatically hop through nearby nodes to reach contacts miles away.
Channels Join public channels or create private, encrypted channels for group conversations. Great for teams, communities, and coordinated events.
Location Sharing Share your GPS location with contacts and see everyone’s position on the map in real time.
Interactive Map View contacts on a built-in map with offline tile caching, so it keeps working even without internet access.
GIFs & Media Add GIFs to messages when an internet connection is available (optional).

I understand this is work in progress. However, today I have had two false positives - DMs marked with double green checkmarks as delivered, path unknown, but not delivered. I know because both devices are mine. This is one of the worst possible outcomes in communication. I am looking forward to coming back to this app someday, when these issues are solved. Runs smoother then ripple radio and the original mesh core. Interface feels like a real app, its simple and well-structured so that anyone can use a mesh core flashed lora radio. It also brought my interest back to my lily go deck. No logger does it feel bogged down and boring. Ya gotta try it, tell your friends and leave a review! These guys are doing something good here.

I don't understand why when I go into the telemetry settings of a contact it updates the information and location, but the map view shows the same contact in an old location and old update time. Have you tested this ?
