Comments on Messages for Android

★★★★☆ Ty Buchanan · Aug 24, 2026

I got fed up with ads on opening every time for other messenger apps! Asked Google AI about subscribing. It said this particular app is known NOT to stop the ads after the subscription is paid. Google AI is seldom wrong.

I tried using this instead of Google messenger, and at first, it seemed okay. Then, the notifications got annoying along with the ads. App tells me I have new messages for group chat, etc. I don't have a group chat. Pay monthly or 30+ dollars just to use the app without annoying ads? 🤔 Bye.
