Of all the Facebook web wrapping apps it there this one feels like one of the more polished ones, it really is a joy to use and feels very smooth and responsive with a lot of good features, there are just a few things missing 1. Sharing to messages from other apps, 2. Voice and video calling 3. The ability to customize the tabs (I want to hide friend requests or at least move them out of the way so that my feed and messages are right next to each other)

UPDATED review. I was a Metal Pro user for years, but it's no longer working usable the past couple of years. So I switched back to the non-pro version. I like to use Facebook when I want WITHOUT installing the intrusive official software from Facebook. I don't know for sure Metal doesn't have its own security and privacy flaws, but from a user perspective it has worked OK so far.

Latest update July '22: I don't think it's the app devs fault so much as a change on Facebook's end that has completely broken the functionality of this app. FB now doesn't load, tells me "this browser is unsupported" and to open in the Facebook app. 5 stars down to 1. Update: After a couple of years use, I can confirm that this is my fave way of using Facebook. Still getting used to it tbh. Have had some oddness occurring, but pretty sure it's ne doing something wrong.

I have used it as an alternative to FB messenger. It seems pretty good. Update: Facebook have completely changed their user experience and so now I can't read FB messages on the phone. This application is in need of an update.
