I have been using the free version for a few years now. I started using it when I was doing wilderness search and rescue, one of our training rules was to pause training when lightning is within 10 miles. This is especially true on the water, so I have continued to use it when I go paddleboarding. The app is super easy to use, set it up to notify you just how you want it, and show strikes up to 1 hour ago. I do wish it had a longer history for those midnight storms.

Best and most reliable Storm tracking app I've had. I can't recall a time when it hasn't been accurate for me, and I've been using it for several years in Australia. It's worth every cent and far out does every other (paid) weather app I've used along with the unpaid apps as far as Radar reliability goes.

This app is not alerting me to lightning strikes in my area. My dogs freak out when there is thunder, and I really need to know ahead of time if it's going to happen. I need to be home with them if there's going to be thunder and this app is not alerting me

This is a worse version of all the free websites that already exist. It doesn't show strikes in real-time and the weather-radar is wildly inaccurate. And those are the only two features of the app except for the "Hotspot" feature which is completely useless. EDIT: The radar is now officially unusable, since the layer of the radar data and the layer of the map have diverged, making it purposeless.
