METROV Navbar

METROV Navbar gives your phone a clean, flat Metro-style navigation bar: back · Start · search, drawn exactly over your phone's own navigation bar.

Make it yours
• 2 to 5 buttons, each with its own tap, press-and-hold and double-tap action: back, Start (home), recent apps, last app, web search, assistant, notifications, quick settings, power menu, lock the phone, screenshot, split screen or open an app
• Pick each button's glyph, or use your own picture
• Always dark, match the accent color, or match the background of the app you're in (Android 11+)
• Icon size presets, left / centred / right button position, haptics
• Hide it in the apps you choose, hide it with a swipe down or an optional hide button, and let it get out of the way when an app goes full screen

Goes with METROV
With the METROV launcher installed, the bar follows its accent color. It works with any launcher too.

How it works
Android doesn't let an app remove the system navigation bar, so METROV Navbar covers it. Keep your phone in 3-button navigation (gesture navigation works too, on phones that can't hide their 3-button bar). When you hide the bar, the phone's own bar shows underneath, and the lock screen keeps the system bar.

Accessibility service
The bar is drawn by an Android accessibility service. Android only lets an app draw over the navigation bar and press its buttons that way. The app shows you exactly what the service does before you turn it on. It does not read the text on your screen or what you type.

Private by design
No internet access, no ads, no analytics, no account. Nothing leaves your phone.
