METROV Dial

Remember when a phone app could be beautiful? Big thin headings, flat square tiles, a pure black screen and one accent color you picked yourself. METROV Dial brings that Metro look back to Android, and it's a full replacement for your dialer, from the keypad all the way to the call screen.

When a call comes in, the screen wakes up and shows who's calling, even on the lock screen. Slide up, then answer, ignore, or send a quick text reply. During a call you get big, easy tiles for speaker, mute, Bluetooth, hold and adding another call. You can switch between two calls or merge them.

Finding people is quick. Start typing on the keypad and T9 finds them: 6, 2, 7 and Maria shows up. It works for names written in other alphabets too. Your contacts are grouped by letter, and tapping a letter opens the Metro letter grid so you can jump straight to it. Your history is sorted by day, missed calls stand out in your accent color, and speed dial keeps your favorite people one tap away.

Make it yours. Pick from 34 accent colors, go light or dark (or follow your system), choose a font or import your own, and adjust the text size. It speaks 21 languages.

It's also private. The app has no internet permission at all, so nothing you do in it can leave your phone. No ads, no tracking, no account. You can block numbers, and blocked callers get screened before your phone even rings.

Got two SIMs? Choose which one to call from right on the keypad, and see which SIM an incoming call is on.

METROV Dial is part of the METROV family, alongside METROV Launcher, a Metro-style home screen.
