HOW DOES MILEAGE SCOUT WORK?
Mileage Scout tracks your routes using the GPS built into your phone, operating in the background so
you can focus on driving. Mileage Scout automatically recognizes when your route starts and stops
based upon your location and your phones sensors. Mileage Scout makes automatic mileage tracking
effortless. While Mileage Scout allows you to automatically track mileage, you can also have more
control if you want to record manually. With one click, you can record a route by hitting start and stop
or if you forgot a route, you can add one by entering the start and end address.

CATEGORIZING YOUR DRIVES & VEHICLES
Easily categorize your trips as personal or business. Do you have different driving gigs? You can setup
categories for each such as Uber, Lyft, Real Estate, DoorDash, Pizza Delivery, etc. and assign your
mileage accordingly. Do you deliver pizza during the day and drive for Uber during the evening? You
can set up a fixed weekly schedule and Mileage Scout will assign your drives based upon the schedule
making it even easier for you when you're on the go. Do you have multiple vehicles that you use for
business? No problem, add your vehicles and assign your trips to the vehicle of choice so you can keep
track of how many miles you are putting on each vehicle.

REPORTING
Whether it is to maximize your tax deduction or reimbursement, Mileage Scout can provide you with IRS
friendly reports directly through the mobile app or Mileage Scout website. Reports can be filtered by
time, category, & vehicle so that you can quickly export your mileage into a PDF or CSV and provide to
your employer or accountant.
