Cloud Sync Your books are stored right where you left them: on your device. Just like a real book. If your phone breaks, that’s called "tragedy," not "our problem."
Social Sharing Nobody cares which chapter you’re on. We never added the button, saving you from this performative digital obligation. Reading is a solitary vice.
AI Recommendations We won't suggest "You might also enjoy Breathing: An In-Depth Guide." We assume you know how to pick a book.
Achievements & Badges No gold stars for finishing Chapter 1. The satisfaction of reading is its own reward. (Yes, we know that sounds suspiciously positive.)
Extensive Settings Menu We have fewer settings than an elevator. Tap to go forward, tap to go back, and now two text size buttons we're still coming to terms with. Congratulations, you're an expert user.
Analytics Tracking We genuinely do not know, and frankly, do not care what you are reading. Your privacy is protected by our sheer indifference.
Minimalist Functions That Somehow Made the Cut (This section was shorter last year. We're being very brave about it.) ===
Opens Files A surprisingly complex task for an app this simple, but yes, it handles EPUB and MOBI.
A Recent Books List Tap the folder icon: your last ten books, with your place in each. Tap one to keep reading. You can also make the app forget a book entirely, for those novels you'd both prefer to pretend never happened. We refuse to call it a "Library." Libraries have ambitions.
Text Size Buttons A+ makes the letters bigger. A− makes them smaller. Each book remembers its own size, because switching between a paperback and your grandmother's large-print edition shouldn't require negotiation. We agonized over adding two whole buttons. We lost.
A Clock & Battery Indicator So you can confirm that it is, indeed, 3:00 AM and your device is almost dead. We call this "reader accountability."
Volume Button Paging Up for previous page, down for next page. It’s an efficiency hack designed for peak thumb lethargy.
Theme Toggle Two entire color schemes! This feature alone nearly violated our minimalist charter. Use the sun/moon icon responsibly.
Multilingual UI The app adapts to your device language and is available in multiple languages. Translations are provided via Google Play to make the app accessible worldwide.
