There's no username option, you must use your phone number as ID to receive payments. Even WhatsApp already implemented usernames to protect personal numbers. Worse, the app forces syncing the 12 recovery words to my Google account instead of allowing backup in my Opera account like the browser does. You can't change the linked Google account for backup. While the app lets you view the 12 words, they won't restore access if you lose the linked Google account. Login is ONLY possible with Google.
