Don't believe the old reviews. This is a new app version, and it runs a lot better. Connecting the device required two tries, but eventually it worked fine. Dj'ing smells is great, and I love the ability to use predefined scents or create your own. This makes a good smelling home such fun. Only thing they can improve is the responsiveness. Most times my Moodo reacts within a second, but some rare occasions I have to try twice. But still a very enjoyable product!

Setup with the app was pretty simple. It did fail the first try, however I
followed the instruction manual and entered the setup IP address, and
ultimately was able to get it up and running in about 10 minutes. The
scents are very strong and parfumey, but, they work lovely together. I've
enjoyed trying out the features and mixing with the app. At first both the
schedule and shuffle features did not work, but that seems to have resolved
itself having restarted the app a few times. I do notice that the Moodo
(V2) does not always immediately recognize fragrance pods, but they
eventually show up. I also have noticed that the scent family offerings do
not update until I restart the app should I have decided to switch out the
scent family. One improvement I would like to see, is for the app to
designate which end is the front of the machine and likewise which way in
the app is the front of the machine. I'd consider the plug and manual
controls to be the back of the machine, however in the app, the rows are
swapped. It's not a big deal but did throw me off. The app appears stable
now, and I don't really seem to have any over burdening issues with it. I
will of course revise this review should that change. But as of now I'm
decently pleased.

Setup was simple but the app shows the scents as if you are looking at it from the back with the power cord and blue lights facing you. If it's intentional I wonder why the advertising images don't show it this way. The app constantly loses connection to the device and the Amazon Echo connectivity doesn't work as the Moodo can't be discovered. All in all a pre-production app with most of the intelligence and connectivity unavailable or unstable.

App is completely worthless. As others have said, it requires tethering and hotspot access to connect, and even then it won't connect at all. If you have any issues, this company directs you to their email or chat on their website, but if you email they simply say to go on chat. I have a window open on their chat that's been sitting idle for two hours with no response at all from them. I would love to be able to use this device, but it's basically inoperable without connecting via the app. In addition, their website says: "LTE and 5G personal hotspots are reported as not working, please try to use 3G or 4G" So you can't actually connect if you have an LTE phone unless you drop it out of LTE. Unfortunately, that isn't an option in my phone's settings.
