Moona Tenos

Design inlay panels and get numbered pieces and cut sheets for your veneer.

Moona Tenos is a workshop companion for people who make wood inlay and marquetry. You lay out a panel on a lattice, and the app 📱 turns your picture into numbered pieces and cut sheets you can follow at the bench.

Start 🚀 from one of six patterns, such as a compass rose, a sunburst or a diamond lattice, or open a blank panel and paint your own. Each cell of the lattice splits into four triangles, so you can fill a whole cell, a half or a quarter. Pick a veneer from the palette, set the grain angle in 15 degree steps, and use mirror, quad and rotate to repeat your work across the panel. Undo and redo are always at the top.

The Pieces view breaks the panel into numbered parts. You see 👀 each piece by species, grain and size, and you can switch between a flat view and an exploded view of the layers. Mark each piece as you cut it.

The Cut Sheet view packs the pieces onto veneer leaves, one set for each species. It shows how much of each leaf you use and how many pieces you have cut so far.

Moona Tenos also includes:
- A library 📚 of 20 veneer species with search 🔍 and grain filters
- A list 📋 of saved panels, sorted by recent, name or progress 📈
- A ledger with totals for panels, pieces, leaves and share 🤝 cut
- A ranking of the veneer area you need, species by species
- Progress 📈 saved with each panel, so you can pick up where you stopped

Moona Tenos suits hobby woodworkers, marquetry makers and anyone who plans small inlaid boxes, trays and panels. Plan 🗺️ the pattern 🔢, count the veneer and cut with less waste.
