Once Upon

Once Upon is a bedtime story builder for parents. Set the hero, the place, what happens and the lesson it closes on, and the app writes the tale — then reads it aloud or hands it to you to read.

BUILD A STORY IN FOUR STEPS

Hero: the child the story is for, shown as a storybook medallion, or a character you invent from twenty symbols and a colour palette.
Place: ten hand-written worlds, from a moonlit forest and a cloud city to a clockwork tower and a wandering train.
Events: add encounters — someone the hero befriends, helps, outsmarts, rescues, teaches or calms — and quiet moments such as walks, picnics, stargazing and wishes. Write your own line for any block and drag the blocks into the order you want.
Lesson: close on kindness, bravery, patience, friendship, sharing or belonging, or write the ending yourself.

WRITTEN FOR THE AGE YOU SET

Word choice, sentence length and gentleness follow the age on the profile, so the same story reads one way for a three-year-old and another for a nine-year-old.

READ IT YOUR WAY

Narration reads the story aloud at slow, normal or fast pace, with pause and stop. Set the reader text in four sizes, turn the page sound on or off, and switch between a light and a dark page without leaving the story. Continue reading returns to the page you left.

YOUR LIBRARY

Search everything you have made, or filter to favourites and recent. Reopen any story to edit its blocks, or delete the ones that have been outgrown. Export a story as a PDF to send to family or to print as a keepsake.

PRIVACY

Stories, profiles and any photo you add stay in the app on the device. There is no account, no sign-up and no tracking, and nothing is uploaded. The app works fully offline; a connection is needed only to open the privacy policy or terms from settings.
