In my humble opinion, the gaming experience is enjoyable. I had to learn to play with it, and to understand that dying (several times) is part of the game. Don’t get anxious, stay calm and trying it again. Eventually you will find yourself discovering secret areas and new equipment. Sometimes I have had trouble with the buttons [mainly the jump], it does not respond, but I don't know if it depends on the game or my device [Xiaomi Ultra 11]. I like the medieval setting of the game.

Like dark souls but more forgiving and a side scroller. If people recommend dark souls to you, but you are worried about raging out, try this and stay away from the present.

I imagine it's probably a good game, but there's no way to get back to the citadel when you're playing the levels so if you get stuck on a fight your just screwed. And I can't get past the dark prisoner

I would recommend this game if it weren't for the inconsistencies and scuffedness of the controls. Running up off a hill just barely lifts you of the ground, making jump/roll inputs not actuate. It feels like 10-20% of my jump/roll inputs don't actuate when they should. Pretty much kills a souls-like game. Played with a 8bitdo pro 2 (which otherwise works fine)

It's a pretty pixel side scrolling rpg with some of the worst level design I've seen in a game. Areas that you can enter and get 'stuck' in that require a line of 3 or 4 bosses to get out. Useless level mobs that add nothing compared to bosses. Every ice boss get to auto 1 hit kill you because they're attacks reset your root rebuff, even if guarded, and you take chip damage guarding. It's like they had no play testers. There's an engine that wants to support a fun game in here.
