Mortar Trowel Tally

Type the size of your slab, wall or floor and Mortar Trowel Tally shows exactly how many bags of cement, sand, gravel, bricks, adhesive and grout to buy - drawn in chalk on a site board.

CONCRETE
Work out concrete volume for slabs, strip footings, round post holes and solid steps, with a waste allowance added. Choose a mix ratio of 1:1.5:3, 1:2:3, 1:2:4 or 1:3:6 and get cement bags in 25, 40 or 50 kg sizes, plus sand and gravel in kg and cubic metres. Prefer a ready-mix premix? See how many 20, 25 or 30 kg bags to buy instead.

WALLS
Count bricks and blocks from the wall area minus doors and windows. Set the joint thickness and mortar mix to get mortar volume, and see how many cavity wall ties you need.

TILES
Get the tile count, the adhesive needed for your trowel notch, and the grout needed for your joint width and depth.

BUY THE RIGHT AMOUNT
Every bag is rounded up and the spare amount is shown, so you know what is left over. Water per bag is given as a guide.

SENSIBLE CHECKS
Work in metric or imperial units. Inputs are validated: no negatives, sensible maximums, and cross-checks such as openings larger than the wall or a joint too wide for the tile.

SAVED JOBS
Save your estimates to a Jobs list that stays on your phone.
