I was able to check timings and buy tickets easily. Could be faster in pulling up the ticket. I liked that it showed the track that the train was arriving at at grand central in real time. I really wish we had a rail card/system that covered the entire metro area/state/country, though.

I have been scammed through the use of this app numerous times by the LIRR resulting in loss of funds and unusable tickets. Customer service is either nonexistent or rude and unwilling to help. I have also heard that they track your location and will fine you and block your account for weeks if you buy or activate a ticket on the train which makes no sense since you are still permitted to buy tickets from the conductor on board. Stick to paper tickets. Truly negative stars.

Fascist policies. I received a warning for not activating my ticket on time. I rushed in and was about to activate the ticket when the ticket person showed up. My screen was open and ready activate. I received a warning from MTA via email that due to my failure to activate the ticket on time I was receiving a warning and possible future surcharge. I have been monthly tickets for over 30 years. Stalkers should have known that. This is going too far. I will absolutely stop using this app.
