Munch Metrics: Calorie Counter

Munch Metrics is a private calorie counter, protein tracker and food diary with more than 3,700 Australian foods built in. Log meals offline with no account and no ads, and see an honest range behind every estimate. Body measurements are optional.

Today opens on your calories and protein side by side, with carbs and fat underneath and what is left of each optional target. Meals are grouped into breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, each with its own add button, and yesterday's meal can be added again in one tap.

LOG FOOD YOUR WAY
Search more than 3,700 Australian foods offline, save your own foods, or enter nutrition from a label. Choose how much you had and see the calories and protein for that amount before adding it. Optional photo scanning estimates the ingredients in a meal; barcode scanning looks up packaged food. Review names and portions before saving.

MAKE FAMILIAR MEALS EASIER
Save meals and whole batches, search your recipes, and pin favourites. Edit ingredients and batch servings, then choose the portion you ate. Existing diary entries keep their original details.

SEE THE LONGER VIEW
The Trends tab shows 7, 28 or 90 days; open a chart day to see its meals. Averages use days you mark complete, with missing days kept separate from zero. Track protein, carbs and fat, and see fibre, sugar and sodium where data is available. Partial nutrient totals are labelled. Calorie and macro numbers can be hidden.

KEEP A COPY
Create a backup in one tap, with available meal photos and saved recipes. Preview a backup before replacing your diary on another phone. Optional local reminders help you remember to save a copy. Older backups still restore, and CSV export remains available. There is no automatic cloud diary backup or sync. Backup files are not password-protected, so keep them somewhere private.

FREE DIARY, OPTIONAL SCANNING
Manual logging, recipes, trends, history, eating patterns, backups and exports are free. Photo and barcode scanning require a subscription. Sign in with Google to verify scanning access; this does not sync your diary. Use Restore purchases with the original store account. Google Play shows the current price and any eligible offer before purchase.

AI photo scans require your permission to send a resized meal photo through our Linode service to OpenAI. Successful analysis removes our upload; unused uploads expire after ten minutes and are cleared within the following minute. Results may be cached for 24 hours. OpenAI applies its own retention policy. Pause future photo sharing in You > Privacy.

There are no ads or streaks. Erase the local diary or delete your subscription account separately inside the app. Neither action cancels store billing. RevenueCat processes purchase information for subscription access and reporting; limited anti-fraud accounting is retained. Exported copies remain wherever you saved them.
