Murlivo: Offline Voice Notes

Murlivo is an offline voice recorder that turns what you say into a note you keep.

Record and transcribe with no network at all. Transcription runs on your own phone, so it is voice to text offline in the real sense: nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and the text is written into a plain text file in a folder you choose.

WHY MURLIVO IS DIFFERENT

• Offline voice notes. Airplane mode, no signal, a dead Wi-Fi network: recording and transcription both work with no connection.
• Offline transcription on your own device. Audio moves only between your watch and phone, over Google's Wear OS sync. No upload, no servers, nothing to trust us with.
• No account. No sign-up, no email, no password. Install it and record.
• Your notes stay yours. Murlivo writes plain text into a folder you pick, so every note opens in any editor or file manager, with or without Murlivo installed.

Murlivo is a complete app on the phone alone. No watch needed: voice notes offline, on one device.

• Tap record and speak. Murlivo saves the audio and writes the transcript for you.
• An inbox of every recording, with playback, search inside a transcript, rename, edit and share.
• Choose the transcription model: a smaller and faster one, or a larger and more accurate one. The model downloads once, and after that everything runs offline.
• Set how long a recording may run before Murlivo reminds you, and before it stops and saves itself.
• Share a note as text, or share the audio file.

ON YOUR WEAR OS WATCH

If you have a Wear OS watch, Murlivo is also a voice recorder for Wear OS that gives you the text back, not just an audio file. Wear OS notes, spoken instead of typed.

• A tile and a complication start recording in one tap, straight from the watch face.
• Recording keeps running with the screen off and your wrist down.
• Everything a Wear OS recorder does, and the phone with no signal is fine: the watch records and queues, the audio moves over Bluetooth once the phone is back in range, and the phone transcribes it then.
• A list of recent recordings on the wrist, with playback and the transcript once it is ready.
• Start a phone recording from the watch when the phone is the better microphone.

The plain text files Murlivo writes are Markdown, so you can point Murlivo at a folder inside an Obsidian vault and every note appears there as a normal file.

Murlivo speaks English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and transcribes many more languages.
