my Driving Discount® is a free app that enables you to save up to 25% on your car insurance premium. If you are an Intact Insurance customer enrolled in our program, it could reward you with a personalized discount by assessing your driving habits. It’s also a great way to receive valuable feedback about your driving habits, which can help you save even more. The better your driving habits, the more you could save!
Once your assessment period is over, your discount will be applied to your car insurance premium based on the conditions of the program. Simply download the app and start driving. It’s as simple as that!

Working well for me so far. The app tracks my trips, and I understand that if I brake somewhat hard or accelerate quickly that it would register an event - it sounds like some users expect to get the max score just for not being in an accident. But the iPhone version did register a braking event for my wife while she was parked, she was in our driveway and then held the phone up to the speakers to hear a song and it somehow thought she hit the brakes too hard. But other than that it's been ok.

After 9 months of using this app and finishing the tracking period,I have to say that I will quite enjoy getting a discount on my next renewal, while not doing much for it. The app is a fairly sensitive to braking and accelerating, but once I figured that out it was, in my opinion, pretty straight forward. There were little glitches here and there when it comes to the app actually tracking trips, but overall it worked well for me.

Very poor app. It has crashed, locked up and not recorded many many trips that I have made. It records the smallest braking events on a 2 km trip in town and then deducts points from my discount, but does not record 2000 km trips. I am not impressed with it one bit.

Very poor app. Only works for a while. When you notice it's not logging anymore you have to uninstall & reinstall. Also the parameters for what is considered hard acceleration & hard braking are not realistic & should be increased. This especially true when driving in larger cities where you must accelerate quickly in order to merge with traffic or slow down with traffic. I bet upper administration has never tried this app & would see they would continually get acceleration & braking events
