WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW *The credit scores provided are based on the VantageScore® 3.0 model. For three-bureau VantageScore credit scores, data from Equifax®, Experian®, and TransUnion® are used respectively. Any one-bureau VantageScore uses Equifax data. Third parties use many different types of credit scores and are likely to use a different type of credit score to assess your creditworthiness.
**WebScan searches for your Social Security Number, up to 5 passport numbers, up to 6 bank account numbers, up to 6 credit/debit card numbers, up to 6 email addresses, and up to 10 medical ID numbers. WebScan searches thousands of Internet sites where consumers' personal information is suspected of being bought and sold, and regularly adds new sites to the list of those it searches. However, the Internet addresses of these suspected Internet trading sites are not published and frequently change, so there is no guarantee that we are able to locate and search every possible Internet site where consumers' personal information is at risk of being traded.

My advice: you need protection and having yout 3 credit bureaus and able to check your credit especially how much identity theft is happening. It happened to me twice, but was able to find it before it got worse. The best thing is get your report for 19:99, is worth it, than anyone taking thousands on your name. Is just common sense. Don't wait and keep track of your credit score and information if someone tries to get in. Equifax will send a message letting you know if a new account was opened.

My information got stolen. People trying to get loans, car, ect in my name I haven't had to worry because Equifax has a credit lock and its kept anyone from accessing my credit. It's a very good service. You want to let someone access your credit juat unlock for a minute and then lock it right back.

After being married for 45 years, my husband passed away, and we had everything in joint accounts. L never knew l had to reestablish my own credit. L thought, where do l start? Can't they just remove his name from all of our joint accounts? No, they can't. I'm now 69 yrs old and lost. L have an excellent credit score. L don't use my credit card only for an emergency. Thanks to Equifax, they explained to me how to use my credit card as l wasn't using it. L have over an 800 credit score now.

Worst of the credit bureaus: the responsibility of any credit bureau is to enable financial institutions and borrowers to monitor one's credit worthiness and borrowing ability. Equifax fails this: it consistently fails to create user accounts, refuses to log in due to server errors, and has related back-end issues making the app and service unusable. Use Experian, who seem to have figured out their tech stack, or TransUnion if for some reason Experian can't work for you. Stay away from Equifax.

Absolute scammers and thieves. I will never recommend this trash app to anybody—save your time and your sanity and stick with Experian or literally any other service. Equifax has been completely broken for months. Every single time I have tried to log into my account for the past two to three months, the app locks me out and gives me a garbage error message telling me to 'call customer service' just to access my own information. Why do I need to call in just to log into an app I am paying for?

Equifax doesn't protect you. They don't investigate. Not following federal laws. They have information about dark web and hackers.
