Living in California, we get a lot of small quakes. This app was AMAZING at giving my family info on the quakes, even estimated quakes. I am also nosy as heck so seeing all the reports that others gave in quakes all over the world makes my inner Karen happy with the management.

This app uses the accelerometer in smartphones (which can detect an earthquakes initial and imperceptible S waves) to provide data to USGS to increase the accuracy of future early warnings' magnitude, estimated time of shaking and intensity. This technology isn't perfect, but early warning is better than none. Early warning isn't much good if you aren't prepared Stock up supplies. Build over time. Create disaster strategies. I love this app keeps me informed of what's going on around the world. Call 209 Crime the 4000 plus follows followers I have need to know what's going on we have the Hayward fault & the San Andreas Fault to the west. And we have the Calaveras fault to the east. The area I'm located at is mostly marshland that has been covered over. So in a really heavy shaking type of earthquake the ground solidifies and buildings will collapse if they're not mounted on bedrock. The warning that it has helps.

This app alert only worked twice for me. Once for a quake in Portland and once when there was a quake in my area. However, I have not received any alerts for the recent quakes in the Bay Area.

Can't agree to terms to get started. The agree to terms buttons shows inside my bottom toolbar, so I am unable to click it to even use the app. Please update this!!

The app doesn't show the earthquakes from my region. It only shows luzon and Mindanao. Well maybe the inhabitants of Luzon won't show the events from Luzon while surely it will show Visayans and Mindanao. And most probably, that the inhabitants of Mindanao won't be able to see their earthquake events because they could only see the Luzon and Visayans. "The input of Google elites with the media; inhabitants of the Philippines, calm down, don't be paranoid. don't think the earth will collapse."
