Description
MySunset gives you the ability to view sunrise, sunset, and golden hour predictions for the next 6 days.
There are two methods to view sunrise/sunset data:
1 - An interactive map with an overlay showing the forecasted quality of upcoming sunrises and sunsets. By default, your current location is shown on the map. On this screen, you can toggle between sunrise and sunset, change the date, move the map around, and zoom in and out of the map.
2 - The second screen is a table showing a list of custom locations. Each location displays a forecast percentage, a corresponding color representing the quality of the sunrise/sunset, and the time of the sunrise/sunset. Add as many custom locations as desired.
Tap on a day to view weather data for that sunrise/sunset. Even if the sunrise/sunset isn't great, this data is meant to assist in accomplishing your unique artistic goals.

50 km (30 miles) East/West: - % cloud cover - % chance of precipitation
150 km (90 miles) East/West: - % cloud cover - % chance of precipitation
Tap the three dots to open more options: - "View on Map" will open the location on the Map screen - "Configure Alerts" allows you to receive push notifications when an upcoming sunrise or sunset is predicted to be colorful. In-app purchase required.

[12/27/2021] I have been using 6 months now as a pro, It looks ok as weather forecast is not that accurate as I can see many other weather apps. It would be nice if I can change the settings of factors like: cloud cover %, precipitation %, humidity, wind speed, temperature. And would be good to consider adding height of clouds (low - < 6500ft, mid - 6500ft> and < 12000ft, high - > 12000ft, etc.), and fog/dew point/etc.). One more important feature will be backup/restore the locations to cloud (Google driver/Outlook onedrive/etc.) that I added for switching/upgrading the smartphone

You should look at fog when making your predictions. The app shows a high score, but another app, "Clear Outside" predicts low visibility because of fog.

App is accurate so far. I have been using it the past whole year. Today got a 94% awesome sunrise. I'm using the paid version. I don't give 5 stars because the map functionality got removed (I don't know why) Map was useful for me to check where I could potentially get a better sunrise/sunset and plan accordingly. I hope the developer can bring the maps back. And remember people, we are dealing with weather here, it tends to be unpredictable. This app have worked for me most of the time.

Terrible app. It is never accurate. It's always the opposite of what the app says. If the app says 10% chance (bad) of a good sunset, it will usually be great, when it says 80% chance (great) it will be terrible. 4 times I've gone out to do some photos when the app says over 80% chance and there wasn't even a single cloud in the sky. Basically, if you go by the opposite of what the app says, it will work out. When it says it's going to be bad, it will be good (vice versa). Use Sky Candy instead, it's always accurate. When Sky Candy says it will be a great sunset (it's always right), My sunset will say it will be bad lol My sunset is always wrong. I've tested this more than 20 times, and it's wrong every time. Maybe it's the data source they are using.

The only thing that is accurate is this app's ability to predict the complete opposite of what a sunrise or sunset will look like. Don't waste your time.

Trying to open the map to show any locations searched and not rely on the gps of your phone to tell the app where you are does not work. General radius of the area around where your GPS says you are is the only location on the map it shows. It lets you search other cities but can't see the map of that area, why? If you search any location besides your current you get to see stats and the map of the San Fran Bay Area which is not usefull at all.
