NAVIGON

★★★★★ Overall the best smartphone sat nav out there and I have tried them all. Unfortunately this is also the most expensive! The reason this app wins out is the voice guidance which is hands down far superior to any other app. The voice gives timely and extremely clear instructions, which includes road names, all in a very natural non-robotic manner. The choice of three different routes is good, as are the pleasant day and night modes. There are only a few areas that cause me to grumble. Firstly the POIs on the map are tiny and impossible to see. Another issue is the route options. We are given three but before we have zoomed in and started to choose which route to take the app quickly chooses for us and proceeds to navigation. There needs to be an indefinite delay whilst we decide which of the three routes to take. Also, the old iPhone app gave a turn by turn text summary of the route yet that fairly essential feature is missing here. Finally, the price. There is a whopping 35% off currently in a flash sale and yet the app still costs £42!! When there are decent free of charge sat nav apps out there you are never going to sell this to the newer generations for that kind of money. This app shouldn't be more than £40 in the first place, let alone with 35% knocked off. In a flash sale you should be charging £25 tops and even then most will still go for Google, Waze or Here We Go purely because they cost absolutely nothing and whats more they get the job done. Work on your pricing guys and address the few shortcomings of this great app.

★★★★★ Graphics very nice! Voice guidance accurate. Easy to use...this is for the unpaid version. The paid version in NZ$=70+ lifetime...and that is unnecessarily costing a lot if compared to Sygic Navigation which costs a fraction and does actually do a better job. Another thing: I always use Google Maps, its the BEST when it cones to Navigation, be it car, public transport, or walking. However, Goggle map graphices are underwhelming. So I Always run Google Maps in the background with voice instructions and a nice exiting graphic like Sygic or potentially Navigon - if it was resonably priced - in the car display

★★☆☆☆ This is ridiculou. Garmin have the top quality GPS devices, but kills the software after few years. Sad. I had Garmin hardware and software for almoast 10 years. They were the best. But for te last couple of years they are making there top devices act like trash. And for software, they make it and stop developing it. What the hell. This looks like somthing that was made 5 years ago. Also amount of options is at the same level. All in all poor. For the price needed for europe you can have the world with Sygic, and everything else. If you are new and do not know what to expect from navigation softvare, well... I do not know. One question for the end. Why would I buy Navigon to use HERE maps when I can use HERE navigation software and naos for FREE? SYGIC is still the best navigation software at my humble opinion.

★★☆☆☆ Downloaded and wouldn't go further just back to download just reinstalled and driving directions have to be paid for. Uninstalled as Google is do same, better for free.
