This device and app has changed my life when it comes to migraines! I used to have to take medication and worry about side effects and when the medication wouldn't work I'd have to go to the emergency room and get the "migraine cocktail" by IV, which took hours to do, plus the rest of my day would be ruined since the antihistamine in the cocktail would make me exhausted! With Nerivio all it takes is about 45 minutes, no side effects, and when it's done no tiredness!

I have lived with migraine for over 28 years. In the last 6, it has been chronic intractable migraine with/without aura. Nerivio was not "approved" for chronic intractable migraine, but my neurologist and I figured it was worth a shot, so he wrote the prescription for me last year. I was floored when I tried it for the first time. There are many times I do not get prodromal symptoms and/or a flare-up wakes me up out of a dead sleep, so I cannot always get it on my arm within the golden 60-minute window, but I will still use it. There are times the pain has been so bad that I have used it for 2 sessions back-to-back. It takes the "edge" off the pain spike decreasing the intensity and reducing the severity to a level at which I will be better able to function. I have never had an issue pairing it with the app on my phone. At one point, I even had two different devices "attached" to the app at the same time (one was in my school bag and the other by my bed) and the app had no trouble differentiating between the two and keeping track of my remaining sessions. My insurance does not cover Nerivio, so I was happy when Theranica reduced the price to make it more affordable. Is it expensive for only 12 uses? For some people, it could be. But I have tried other forms of treatment that cost more and didn't work for me. Every person is different; I am unable to use Cefalù or a TENS unit because they are incredibly painful for me at the "skin" level. I will continue to keep this in my migraine ER kit and tell every migraine I meet about it in case they haven't heard of it. I hold out hope that Medicare/Medicaid will cover this in the future. Until then, I will continue to pay out-of-pocket for this wonderful device.

Terrible. My headaches were worse after using the nerivio device. It even messed with my eyesight, I talked with a few people, and they kept saying the same things or that I should consult with my healthcare providure. 1/10 would not recommend unless headaches are mild.

Not exactly what any migraine patient wants to be doing at 3:30 in the morning. Fighting to pair a device meant to help my migraines for over an hour isn't helpful in any way shape or form. I've updated, uninstalled, reinstalled, unpaired my device, turned my Bluetooth on and off, restarted my phone, absolutely nothing will make this dang thing pair and work. If patients can't even get this to pair and work, what's the point of even paying to have it?!

While this device didn't work for me, I understand a lot of people have success with it. The issue is the permissions, full location? Constant notifications? This device ONLY needs Bluetooth to function. It's suspicious as heck to require everything else.
