Calorie calculator confusing. It gives a recommended calorie intake, but doesn't say whether that is the maintenance figure, or if it includes a calorie reduction to lose weight, if so how much that reduction is, 200kcal per day, 500, 600, 1000

Has helped me loose weight easily after a gaining from a previous good loss

Thinking this would ask for what I was eating so it would work out calories, carbs, sugars etc it doesn't. Meaning you would probably need another app to work this out. Will use my Samsung Health app instead

Seems to take the view that people are overweight by choice, and that it is a 'habit' that can be broken. I would put money on the fact that no one involved in creating this has ever had weight problems, and not one person with weight problems was consulted during this apps creation. You can't expect drivel like this to help people when it is mostly set out to insult them. We all know, and have been repeatedly told since we were about five years old, that healthy eating and exercise should equal a healthy weight, but unfortunately it isn't always that simple. Most of the time there are external factors, and the leading science on the subject has argued against the "healthy eating and exercise is all it takes" approach for years now. I understand that the nhs is underfunded and being pushed to it's extreme, but to push this bull when you must know better is shameful. My own gp has disagreed with most of this, as would anyone who understands that weight loss can be more complex than just parking further away from home and eating a salad. By suggesting we don't know to even try eating healthily and exercising is basically assuming we are either stupid or that we want to be fat.
