This is one of the most seamless process for Nigerians in diaspora in the renewal of international passport. At first, it looks confusing and complex but following the procedure step by step, would be a lot easier. This is an absolute kudo to the Minister of Interior as been led by Hon. Olubumi for this marvelous transformation. He is indeed a change agent! And a shout-out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for identifying individuals who are willing to make Nigeria 🇳🇬 great and proud. Understand where people get it wrong; This app does exactly what it says it does. And very smoothly. Understand that your login to the NIS application is for the applications... Most people create the application on the PC, and then the username and password are rejected when trying to log in for biometrics on the app. The app is meant to confirm your status and prepare you for biometrics, so you need to create a fresh profile for the sake of the app. This is not normal though. NIS take note!

I can't find the option to start a passport application after downloading the app. Physical appointment available on NIS website is in six months time. I am frustrated, Nigeria let's try to create excellent and efficient systems please, it's not that hard 😔

On what basis is the app checking for eligibility? It's unclear what eligibility criteria is being used for the app to get you proceed with the biometrics. Passport renewal should not be this stressful if already while filling the initial application form and paying, the system already automatically generates your details using your old passport information. I see no reason why so-called verification should keep failing at the point of biometric Enrollment again. So frustrating.

Soon as you select contactless service, entire server breaks each time you try logging in or selecting biometric service. Also doesn't offer the redirect to the payment portal. Just an incomplete application page. Horrible experience and customer support

IT keeps tell me eligibility failed even though my details are correct and had been verified. It can't open for biometric capture.
