You are always one row from dying rich.

No Going Back is a turn-based roguelike dungeon crawler RPG for one thumb: five lanes wide, one tap per row, and no way back.

FIGHT OR ROUTE — EVERY ROW IS THE SAME QUESTION
Monsters drop gold. Fighting costs health. Stores sell health back at a deliberately terrible rate, so no fight is a mistake — only a bad purchase. That is the whole loop of this dungeon crawler: fight the monster in front of you, or take the lane beside it, which is empty, safe, and worth nothing.

THE KILL STREAK IS THE GREEDY LINE
Consecutive kills pay more. A second kill pays more than the first, a third more again, and any row you walk without a fight resets the kill streak to nothing. Route through the monsters and the streak buys your gear early; route around them and you arrive poor. Every roguelike run in this dungeon is a bet on how long you can hold the streak.

GOLD BUYS POWER, NOT COMFORT
A better sword ends a fight in fewer rounds. Armor makes each round cost less. Two upgrades, one purse — the shopping decision this dungeon RPG is built around. Spend well early and the savings compound; spend badly and an ordinary monster three biomes later is the one that kills you.

READ THE DUNGEON BEFORE YOU WALK INTO IT
The next three rows are identified: monster, cost, store, empty. The rows after that are silhouettes. Stores and gates show a marker from further off, and a gate shows you which boss is waiting across all five lanes — long enough ahead to route towards it, or to decide you cannot afford that fight. Death in this roguelike is always a gamble you chose.

WHAT IS DOWN THERE
The dungeon changes as it goes and it does not warn you kindly: new monsters, new colours, rows that cost more than the last. Gates seal the dungeon at intervals — a boss across every lane, no route around it — and breaking one raises what you can survive afterwards. How far down it goes is yours to find out.

PERMADEATH, AND DISTANCE TO SHOW FOR IT
Distance is the score. Most runs end early. That is the roguelike deal: permadeath is real, every run starts clean, and the only thing that carries over is what you learned about the dungeon — which monsters are worth a fight, and where a kill streak is worth chasing. Beat your own best and the next crawl starts from nothing again.

ONE THUMB, PORTRAIT, ONE HAND
Tap the square you want, swipe, or use the arrows along the bottom. It is a turn based RPG, so the dungeon waits: nothing moves while you are deciding, nothing counts down while the phone is in your pocket. A dungeon crawl fits the five minutes you have, and one hand is all it takes.

PLAYS OFFLINE, NO INTERNET
The whole game is on the device. An offline RPG in the plain sense: no internet, no account, no sign-in, no server. Play it on a plane, on the underground, or with the wifi off — this is a single player dungeon crawler that never asks you to be online.
