I thought this story was great! I was wary about some of the mixed reviews I saw, but personally I thought it was wonderful! It is a much shorter read, and therefore isn't as in-depth as Crème de la Crème or Royal Affairs, but still thoroughly enjoyable.

Personally I find this work underrated, and was actually surprised how dark some things ended up being later on, especially compared to Crème de la crème. Also, some steamier scenes for those people. I enjoyed this for what it is, being a shorter story but a well told mystery. It's more ambitious than CdlC or Royal Affairs I think, but it suffers from needing to romance a character to get to know them, and somebody's motivations near the end seemed questionable even though I still liked them

Loved this game! Great take on the gothic genre in interactive fiction form. If you're coming here from crème de la crème you may be surprised because it is a darker genre and the relationships and characters reflect this. It's also shorter, but honestly I didn't mind, the pacing was adjusted to match the length. Plus I preferred the eerier atmosphere and slightly older characters. Overall great atmospheric writing and mystery, I'm planning to play it at least twice more.

Man, what a bummer. I love the author, but this story felt like a rushed demo at best. Riddled with grammatical errors, pathing issues, and overall very low on actual substance and quality. The MC was equal parts robotic + illogical, and none of the characters (romanceable or otherwise) were at all compelling. I hope the author revisits this work and fleshes it out more.

Truthfully it's much too short. On their personal app it's released free if you wait for two hours between each chapter. I think they did this to make it seem longer than it is. Things happen abruptly with not enough padding to feel the stakes, and you never get enough time to get to know the characters you're supposed to care about. Two stars because it's free, but it's not the quality that Crème de la crème was.

This story has rather disappointed me. The unfortunate base of the two-star review is that it is boring, short and has no development worth noting, I feel that this is not worth the money you pay for it at all. I feel cheated, I paid for the whole thing, played it three times and then deleted the game, the characters were stale, boring, and I felt no compulsion to follow any of the storie lines available to me because the writer provided no motivation for me to do so.
