Readings from a phone microphone are useful relative values for documentation, but for legal disputes a certified sound level meter measurement may be required.

Does it record all the time, or only when it is loud? You choose. Threshold auto-recording only captures audio once noise crosses the level you set, and stops once things quiet down, so you are not storing hours of silence.

Where do my recordings go? Everything stays on your device. NoiseProof does not upload recordings anywhere, there is no account, and nothing is stored on a server.
