Nordly: Compass & Bearings

Nordly is a magnetic compass that settles instead of spinning, and tells you why it drifted when it does. Fully offline, with no account, no sign-up and no GPS.

Built for walkers, surveyors, roofers aligning panels, installers pointing dishes, sailors and anyone who works from a bearing.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

- Steady compass rose — properly filtered, so the needle settles instead of jumping
- Sighting mode — a degree tape and crosshair for aiming along the top edge
- Bearing tool — set a target and see exactly how far to turn and which way
- Back bearings — the reciprocal worked out for you, plus a two-landmark fix guide
- Magnetic field — total strength in µT, per-axis components and interference warnings
- Declination — magnetic versus true north explained, with an offline regional table
- Calibration — the figure-of-eight routine with a live accuracy meter
- Save and share — keep bearings with notes and send them as plain text

NO LOCATION, NO GPS
Nordly uses only the compass and motion sensors. It never asks for location, because it never needs it — that is also why it requests zero Android permissions.

ACCURACY
Magnetometer readings vary by device and are easily bent by metal, magnets and current. Nordly is an indicative tool, not a certified instrument.
