I really like this app ...however, it can be difficult at times. I notate a bit strangely and have only been using this program for a day, so there is still much frustration, but it only gets better. I'm learning, the program is learning, it's a process. Also, it's really inexpensive when you look at Sibelius or Finale, or even the microsoft touch notation app, which runs about $70. Aside from the time it takes for the program to acquaint itself with myself, and missing functionality concerning repeats (a serious problem for someone writing for steel band, please fix), this is the most brilliant notational software I've eve ever had the privilege to use. As a musician and arranger by trade, it was more than worth the $40 purchase. [EDIT] another big issue for me is not being able to write in rolls. I don't need to hear them, but being able to write them in is a must. Please try to add this in the next update!

Great app for writing when traveling. Quite nice with a stylus - I use it with a Samsung Galaxy Note tablet. You need to "teach" it you're writing. Can be clumsy at first, but it gets better soon. I really like the feature to export to XML format. Allows me to import scores to Sibelius. And the native sound samples are pretty decent. The free version also has Photos core, so you can convert existing sheet music to XML. Doesn't always resolve it, but I find no score photo conversion I have tried ever does. All in all, a wonderful tool for composing multi-instrumental parts on the go if you're used to writing on stave paper. I love that I can write anywhere (even when not connected to Wi-Fi, unlike Note flight which is Web based). I used to scribble in notebooks. No longer!

It's such a pity that the developer didn't follow up with this promising concept. Handwriting recognition is poor, and many things are missing (for example, copy and past of multiple bars, vertically, on different staves. If I'm writing for an ensemble I want to be able to copy and paste the same bar simultaneously on all voices, not only one!). Not worth the money. Staff pad is miles and miles ahead, and the only decent handwriting app to my knowledge

Sorry, but it never works. It never recognizes my handwriting. I've had this app for many years now and it never lears my writing. It was expensive and it doesn't work. Sorry... It would have been a great tool for my work as a session drummer. Now I have to use paper and pen...
