I love this app. It's as simplistic as the original notepad program on Windows. The only thing that would make it even better would be the ability to mass export all or some of the notes as TXT files into a zip file and be able to save it locally and in a preferred online backup.

This one gets it right! I just wanted a notepad. A simple text editor. Nothing more. No reminders, no notifications, no pop-ups, no frills, no ads! This one checks all the boxes and gets my highest praise! It's so funny because this is as simple as it gets, but the absence of all the typical "features" is refreshing. Highly recommended. I will be installing this on all my Android devices!

After I imported a text file it will not be added to the list and also the app doesn't have the function to back up my notes

Was good, after some update(?) is now totally broken. Creates empty files and saves Notes under wrong name. I.e. notes should be named by their "initial line of text" but does NOT do that. And unable to delete erroneously created notes !!!

There is no 'Undo a saved file' or backup file. Many times have lost pages of text due to accidentally pasting text and closing. Easy to make typing mistakes on a cell phone. Looking for another Notepad app ...
