By Nuko, from Google Play“Back up phone folders to your NAS or PC. Only changes, fast, and it resumes.”
Description by Nuko Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
It was made for everyone tired of slow copies in file managers, transfers that die in the background without telling you how far they got, and copying whole folders again every time.
■ Fast, and only what changed
• Copies only new and changed files
• Large transfer blocks keep it fast over Wi-Fi (around 5–13 MB/s to a home Samba share)
• Progress, speed and time left in the notification and in the app
■ Picks up where it stopped
• Wi-Fi lost, charger unplugged, stopped by Android — the next run continues where it left off
• Files are written under a temporary name and renamed when complete, so no half-copied files are left behind
• Pause and resume with one tap
■ Know where files land before you save
• Copy the folder itself or just its contents
• The preview shows whether a folder on the server is new or already exists
• Copying into an existing folder asks first
• Each job keeps its own source and destination, so they never get mixed up
■ Two modes
• Backup: phone → server. Nothing on the phone is ever changed
• Two-way sync (Pro): additions, changes and deletions on either side are applied to the other
• When the server has a different file with the same name: skip and report, newer wins, keep both (rename), keep both in a _Duplicates folder, or overwrite
• Deleted files go to a trash folder, and a run stops for safety if one side suddenly looks empty
■ Runs on its own
• Manual, once, every N hours, daily, weekly or monthly
• Wi-Fi only and charging only conditions
• Away from home the NAS is not reachable, so scheduled runs are skipped right away instead of retrying
■ A clear history
• Every run lists transferred, to-review and failed files
• Shows why something failed: server not found, connection lost, login failed, disk full and more
• Pick files to review and copy them again
■ Servers
• SMB 2/3 (Windows file sharing, Samba and most NAS: Synology, QNAP, Buffalo, I-O DATA…)
• SFTP / SCP (Raspberry Pi, Linux servers)
• WebDAV (HTTP/HTTPS)
• FTP / FTPS
■ Pro (one-time purchase)
• Unlimited scheduled jobs (free: 1)
• Two-way sync
• File filters (types, exclude patterns, size)
• Several folders in one job
• Parallel transfers (up to 4)
• Checksum verification (SHA-256)
• Home screen widget and quick settings tile
• Export / import settings
• No ads
■ Privacy
• Files travel only between your phone and your own server — never to the developer
• Passwords are encrypted on the device with the Android Keystore
• The app only sees the phone folders you pick
Note: Android shows a notification while a transfer runs in the background.
Note: scheduled runs need the phone to be on. On phones with aggressive battery saving, set the app's battery usage to "Unrestricted".
