Description

NYDocSubmit enables residents of New York State to submit required documents for SNAP, HEAP, Temporary Assistance, and Medicaid – avoiding another trip to the local social services district (“district”) office.

This App is available to residents of Albany, Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schoharie, Schuyler, Seneca, St. Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Westchester, Wyoming, and Yates Counties at this time. If your district is not listed, check back soon to see if it has been added.

This App is NOT monitored for emergencies. You must contact your district office directly if you need help to address an emergency. DO NOT use this App to submit an initial application for SNAP, HEAP, Temporary Assistance, or Medicaid; to submit a SNAP Interim Report, SNAP Change Report Form, or SNAP Periodic Report; or to submit a recertification application for SNAP, HEAP, or Temporary Assistance. However, you may use NYDocSubmit to submit a Medicaid recertification.

DO NOT submit sensitive information, such as HIV status or domestic violence information and/or addresses that must remain confidential to safeguard you or a household member. If you need to submit such information, or if the App is not available, provide the documents to your district in a manner OTHER THAN through this App, such as through the U.S. Postal Service, in person, kiosk (if available), or fax machine.

What a phenomenal way to help make it easier for people to send important documents of proof that need to be faxed, and you don't have the ability to fax it when applying for assistance in the specific County one lives in. It's my 1st time using it, so I pray it gets to correct person. It does not give opportunity to address it to the persons name. Plus no room for notes. It's very straight forward, short, just upload a photo, or file & send. It tells you if sent & you get a # to keep of proof.

First time user - easy enough to use - recognized entry patterns to minimize input between documents - fyi I'm not very computer savvy, but I accomplished the task on for me.

This app I can NEVER sign in with. Does not matter the phone, even emulated. I just want to be able to submit my documents. This is absurd that you cannot just log in directly with the app and not have to go online where even on PC it's hard to login.

Terrible interface, when trying to log in it constantly errors out, no matter if you close the app and try to log in or not. At one point it logs in somehow. The document upload steps are incoherent and the UI is opposite of user-friendly. It says it allows you to upload 20 files at once, but actually can't allow more than one. This made the upload process painstaking and seeing as I had 26 files, I had to go through the whole process over 52 times, 26 for two types of benefits. Barely usable

Never works always get an error message when I try to log in. I tried changing my password it won't let me. The app doesn't work.
