How it works:
To compress and save your data, Onavo Extend runs continuously in the background of your phone and directs all of your mobile data traffic through Onavo's servers and compression technology. Revolutionary universal data caching means you won’t have to use your data to load the same images every time you visit a website or use an app because they’ll already be available to you on your phone. And don’t worry about local storage, because you control the percent of your phone’s memory used for storage.
Onavo Extend also optimizes images when you share over 3 or 4G so even when you’re sending images, you’re in control of how much data you use. And the Onavo Extend widget helps you easily monitor how much data you’ve saved so you can really understand how the app is working for you.

Don't know if it's Lollipop on the S6 but the app and/or VPN connection constantly stop working. I have to constantly restart the app to reestablish a VPN connection.

Buggy This app used to work fine. A couple of versions ago my ability to view videos in facebook stopped. I got "web page not found" errors. I also couldn't get to certain web pages when not using facebook. I turned off Onavo Count, and my problems went away. I uninstalled OC and reinstalled it, and my problems still occur. Turn it off, and my problems go away. Too bad, I thought it was a useful app until they broke it.

This product works in what it advertises: It will effectively compress some data and therefore reduce the amount of data you get from your provider. The downside of it is that it consumes a LOT of battery. If you have regular access to a power source, then it will be great for you, but if you are out and about most of the time, then it's probably not for you
