Description
OpeNoise is a real-time noise level meter.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: - Real-time A-weighted sound pressure level measurement - Minimum and maximum level - Third octave and FFT analysis - Data saving in text file - Calibration - Displaying measurements on a map - Metadata compilation - Sharing calibration and measurements with the OpeNoise community
TERM OF USE This app is not intended for professional use, it does not necessarily guarantee an accurate noise measurement. Since each device has a different response to noise, a comparison with a professional noise level meter in the measurement dynamic range is required. The utilization of the app requires adequate technical knowledge and skill; an extemporary measurement might not be correct. The calibrations and measurements sent to the OpeNoise community will be used for statistical purposes only and cannot be used in any way to verify compliance with legal limits.

Great and complete app! I still to calibrate it, but everything seems working well. Extremely appreciated the privacy respect and the source on git ! Gracie agli sviluppatori, ottimo lavoro :)

If "Save LEQ 1/3 octaves levels" and "Save Lzmin 1/3 octaves levels" are checked before the start of the test. The recorded data will be very long. When you open the recorded txt file in the app, when a row of data is too long, I think it is best not to enable automatic word wrapping on the narrow screen of the mobile phone.

Did almost exactly what I needed it to with a clean usable interface. Only complaint is that I can't figure out how to save recorded data. Probably something simple I am missing. Thanks for the great open source app!

This app is brilliant, the best by far! It is the only one I have found that can display dB(A) and not just dB(Z). The wide choice of display options is greatly appreciated. I see a lot of people leaving negative reviews on here complaining about the need for calibration, ALL APPS NEED CALIBRATION if they claim otherwise, they are lying! My only wish is to be able to create custom AEQ times as seeing 3, 5, or 15 min averages is very valuable! If you need a sound level app, this is it. 5 starts!

Probably the best noise and ambient sound measuring app I've ever used that didn't cost me $80.

Never opened. Deleted, downloaded, start page, no activity. Deleted.

Doesn't do anything other than countdown to zero. Crashes after opening often.

In order to calibrate the app you need a professional sound meter. While I love that this app doesn't sell to third parties, this made the app useless for me. I got this app to be able to measure the white noise during my baby's nap times to avoid hearing damage. This just isn't the app I needed for my intended purpose.
