The app was updated yesterday although it is not reflected as such in the Play Store. One good benefit is you can now identify my optigrill as plus model and it includes 10 recipes for the baking accessory which I just bought. The format is different from the book but I like the fact that it differentiates the connected (smart model instructions) from the manual required on the + model. We lost the Montreal spiced steak which is in the book but the other recipes are familiar and easier to read.

I bought the OptiGrill Plus (+) 12 days ago and love it! While the app is somewhat geared to the "Smart" model with bluetooth capability, I have the "Plus" model and find the app recipes seem to follow the recipe book. The app recipes are detailed and you may write additional comments. It is handier than the book and has additional features such as the magazine. I highly recommend the optigrill as a BBQ replacement for those who have given up their backyards and do their cooking indoors.

I absolutely loved this product however the new update for the app is awful. I Purchased the bluetooth model but with the new update I can't use any of the features. Looks like Im going to return it. In the future and this goes with all companies, don't fix what ain't broke.

The original app for the Bluetooth model was a bit clunky but fast, functional, and worked every time. It made using the grill really easy and added lots of extra functionality. You could control pretty much everything and view all timers. Unfortunately they handicapped it. They rmoved almost all useful features. The recipes are rubbish. Monitoring the steak timer is now a chore. Adding profiles and preferences is no longer fluid. Bring back the old app and functionality. No more delays.
