App is building out nicely! A few points: 1. A single tap on the boost icon should just boost the post. Post quote should be then a long press. Best case would be configurable. 2. populating media takes incredibly long. Media thumbnails in your feed should prefetch and when I click a post it should generate quickly. Right now I have no idea how long it will take any media to populate in either case. Seems random.

Mastodon is a great platform and this is a very good app to access it. Because there are no ads on Mastodon, there's no data tracking and no manipulative algorithm encouraging angry content, disinformation, or trolls. You see only what you enjoy-- you only see posts from people you follow or who follow you, and people they follow. This creates a very positive platform with friendly content. Because there are no ads to bury your content, more people see and share your posts here.

App is basic but nice & easy, and I've been using it for a while without many issues except these 2 things: - When replying to a CW'd toot, it doesn't replicate the CW, which isn't the same from the instance I'm using by default. Additionally, it seems impossible to copy the CW itself from the replied toot so manually adding it means rewriting it manually. - When replying to a long toot, you can only read 3 lines of the replied toot; if you want to read it fully you need to "delete your draft".

Not the social media future or antidote promised. Yes, the chronological feed, curated by the user, plus the kindness policies create a much more sane, healthy social experience. Unfortunately, the moderation is volunteer, unprepared, intrusive, erroneous, and Draconian. The split-second moderation decisions from untrained, unaccountable volunteers at Mastodon. Social and likely other servers, makes this platform even more unreliable ground than the corporate social platforms we know.

Account creation doesn't seem to work. It lets me create a username, put in my email and create a password, but it refuses to make an account because I did not input my date of birth. There was no box to input my date of birth.

Upon opening the app for the first time, I was flooded with an overwhelming amount of anti trump, anti MAGA and anti-right posts and propaganda. Was hoping this would be an engaging and neutral platform, but clearly it favors a certain group of people.
