If last wrote a review for this in March 2023, and I said: “feature parity's very poor. No lists, bookmarks, DMs, local/federated feeds.” 3 of those 4 things are now available on what is a solidly built app. I still wish the UI would be the same as the mobile website, with option to shift the top bar and sidebar towards the bottom for ergonomics. Not sure whether they've addressed being redirected away when clicking on links to posts in other servers (preventing likes, boosts, and comments).

Mastodon is a great platform and this is a very good app to access it. Because there are no ads on Mastodon, there's no data tracking and no manipulative algorithm encouraging angry content, disinformation, or trolls. You see only what you enjoy-- you only see posts from people you follow or who follow you, and people they follow. This creates a very positive platform with friendly content. Because there are no ads to bury your content, more people see and share your posts here.

Goddamn Mastodon social moderators discriminating against nonnative German speakers practicing German on Mastodon and treating the multitude of revenge AI reports on a member for reporting on another adult porn post by server banning. They said nonnative speakers using AI to assist in writing are bots and should be banned. Such an overweening server.

Doesn't work, every time I try to create an account it says forbidden and too many requests, or I have to apply again after the confirmation email. Unusable.
