Description by Battle Servo Studios(from Google Play)
Paint Codex by Battle Servo Studios is an all-in-one painting companion created for miniature and model painters.
Record every phase of your painting process, organize your projects, save the paints and techniques you used, and build a lasting archive of your work.
CREATE DETAILED PAINT DOCTRINES
Turn each project into a repeatable Paint Doctrine containing:
• Custom painting phases and step-by-step instructions • Paints, brands, materials, and tools • Progress and reference photos • Voice notes for capturing ideas while you paint • Custom cover artwork for your Gallery
Rename, add, delete, and reorder phases to match your own creative process.
BUILD YOUR PERSONAL GALLERY
Keep completed projects, works in progress, and imported tutorials together in one organized visual Gallery.
Each Doctrine becomes a permanent record of how a model was painted—so you never have to wonder how you achieved a color, effect, or finish again.
DISCOVER THE NEXUS
Browse an expanding catalog of Paint Doctrines created in collaboration with talented miniature painters and content creators.
Download available Doctrines directly into Paint Codex and add them to your personal Gallery.
FIND PAINT ALTERNATIVES WITH PAINT MATCH
Paint Codex Premium includes Paint Match: a focused paint-equivalency tool providing curated alternatives across supported acrylic paint ranges.
Search for a paint, select another supported range, and quickly find a suitable alternative for your project.
WORK FASTER
Paint Codex remembers paints already used within the current Doctrine, making repeated paint entry faster while preserving complete manual control.
The Paints List Generator compiles the paints and materials used throughout a Doctrine into one convenient reference.
EXPORT AND SHARE
Export complete projects as .paintcodex files to archive your work, share them with friends, distribute painting guides, or collect tutorials from other artists.
OFFLINE-FIRST AND PRIVATE
Your Paint Doctrines are stored locally on your device. Paint Codex does not require an account and is designed to work offline.
The free version supports up to three Paint Doctrines. Paint Codex Premium unlocks an unlimited Gallery, Paint Match, exporting and sharing, the Paints List Generator, and additional Premium benefits.

The app is really easy to use and get started with. The built-in cropping feature for photos was a major help and time saver! There is a simplicity of use for the app while allowing you to have depth with the paint doctrines you create.

I started with the free version, it's cool, but only being able to track 3 projects was limiting. I paint so much and needed a way to start making journals of my work from the last 6 years of my hobbies, of which I only had photographs of my progression (W.I.P-Finished), After just a couple of weeks I upgraded to the subscription version. I can now track and create multiple logs. The menus are simple, Lists of hobby products used can now be easily tracked as well as color recipes.

This is extremely useful. I have not been painting long. I wrote every technique in a tiny book. That I had to filter through. This app fixes all the problems with that, and it allows you to use images and keep a record of everything you need to remember. I would highly recommend if you are into miniature painting.

Awful UI, poorly made app, the majority of functions locked behind a pay wall. Just buy a diary and a pen, you don't need a subscription service for this.

Overpriced and Under featured; check out paint Rack or Brush Rage if you want something functional that isn't trying to charge you a monthly fee for your own local storage and doesn't destroy your ability to listen to music or podcasts while using it. 1 start is too high a rating, but I can't give it any less.
