Description

Pali Speak is an experimental app designed to allow a newcomer to the Pali language the ability to hear how Pali words are meant to be spoken, syllable by syllable. Copy and paste Pali words and phrases into the text box and have Pali Speak repeat them back using prerecorded audio files for each syllable.

★★★★★ Buggy but useful This is a very cool little app that I've reached for several times today during my studies. It falls apart now and then but as the description says it is still experimental.

★★☆☆☆ Chipmunks... imagine Alvin and the chipmunks. Theodore I believe. If he were reading Pali, that would summarize this. Also it shows it is going as 2x speed. There's no setting available for speed nor voice. Concept is nice. Execution is lazy as hell. I've written similar code. The voice part of this could be coded in 5 minutes max. Add some variety, accuracy. I don't want chipmunks reading me Pali. Until then I'll stick to what is available online read by real people.
