HOW IT WORKS
Passbook AI reads your bank SMS messages and extracts the transaction details from them. It scans your existing inbox the first time you set it up, then keeps itself up to date automatically as new bank messages arrive.

The app reads SMS for one purpose only: to find bank transaction messages and turn them into your passbook. That is its core function. Messages that are not bank transactions, such as OTPs, promotions and personal chats, are read, rejected and never stored.

WHAT YOU GET
- Automatic import: your whole SMS inbox is scanned on first run.
- Live capture: new bank messages are recorded as they arrive, even when the app is closed.
- Account cards: one card per bank and account, showing the masked account number, the most recent balance the bank reported, and when the account was last active.
- Projected balances: the card takes the newest balance the bank stated and applies every transaction since, so the figure reflects your actual position instead of a stale number.
- Transaction list: amount, direction, bank, account, merchant and date, alongside the original message it came from.
- Filters: credit, debit and per-account filters.
- Voice alerts: an optional spoken announcement of each new transaction.
- No duplicates: importing is idempotent, so re-scanning never double-counts.
- One-tap erase: wipe every stored transaction from Settings.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Your bank SMS and transaction data are processed and stored entirely on your device.
- No account, no login, no cloud sync of your passbook.
- All parsing happens on your device.
- Your data lives in a local database that you can erase at any time.
- To measure how our advertising performs, the app sends a limited set of device and purchase signals. If you subscribe, it also checks that subscription with our billing service. Your SMS, transactions, balances and account numbers are never included in either.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
- It does not move money, make payments, or connect to your bank account.
- It does not put OTPs, promotions or personal messages into your passbook.
- It does not upload your SMS, your transactions, your balances or your account numbers.

PERMISSIONS
Passbook AI asks for SMS access because reading bank messages is the only way to build a passbook automatically. You are shown an in-app explanation first, and you can decline, or revoke access at any time in Android Settings.
