I've been using PCM in one form or another since 2004. Every version lives up to my expectations. I've used this app to record on the go podcast, my own music, class lectures, memos, etc... Very straight forward and easy to use. When I copy files from another phone I just place them in the PCM folder, and they show up in the app no problem. All recordings are visible in my regular music app and other editing apps on my phone. Perfect for any audio recordings. I recommend raising the hz all the way for the cleanest sound. Keep in mind the quality is only as good as the mic you use, if you don't like the sound from the mic on your phone try using an external one I've noticed a world of difference. Paid version could be worth it, the only benefit I would gain is cloud storage (via Google Drive if you use it) and ad free but the ads in the free one are not intrusive and don't pop up that often.

This is the best Voice recorder in any mobile platform, along with ASR Recorder. Period. The best quality recording with full range of customization of voice the recording settings. Having tried a bunch of various voice recorders found across iPhone & android devices, I wanted a proper voice recorder app with High Quality crisp recording, to note down audio notes & articles, I can finally conclude that PCM recorder (along with ASR recorder) are the two best recorders anyone could find for an Android device.

It only uses my phone mic. Which is very bad. The app doesn't support my connected mic. I'm going to delete this app.

Loved this app for so many years. At least 10. But all of a sudden there's a major bug. The file library of previously recorded recordings, will no longer load, then it shuts down the app and says "PCM Recorder is experiencing a major bug, please contact the owner or install an update". I don't have an update, and I'm waiting for one. I use this app for about 4 hours every day, so I need it working asap. I can see you've got no recent feedback, so you should see this soon and be able to fix it.

bug-files are no longer available if I connect to pc. no files recorded over the last couple of days show up when I connect to a pc. older files from last month work fine but nothing newer is shown
