PerliChef: Recipes & Cooking

Recipes you can actually cook from, with your hands full.

PerliChef is a recipes app and cookbook built for the kitchen: find what to cook, see what you can make with the ingredients you have, and cook step by step. Open a recipe and the ingredients sit beside the method, the screen stays on, and the app can read each step aloud while you work. When a step needs timing, one tap starts the timer.

A LIBRARY OF HUNDREDS OF RECIPES
- Four sections: Cooking, Baking recipes, Desserts and Healthy
- Search the whole library at once, from any section
- Try me: a few suggestions when you cannot decide, with a button for different ones
- Favourites: keep the recipes you come back to in one place
- What can I make? Tick the ingredients in your kitchen and see which recipes you can make, with anything missing spelled out
- The library refreshes over the internet, and recipes you already have keep working offline

COOKING MODE
- Step-by-step method, read aloud by your phone's own voice
- Adjustable pause between spoken steps, and a larger text size for reading at a distance
- One-tap timers on steps that give a time; a timer stays on screen while you carry on
- The screen stays switched on while a recipe is open
- A preheat reminder at the start, so the oven is hot when you need it

YOUR TABLE, YOUR UNITS, YOUR OVEN
- Scale a recipe to more or fewer servings and every quantity updates
- Switch between metric, imperial and American cups
- Tell the app whether you have a conventional, fan or gas oven, and temperatures are shown for your oven
- Nutrition per serving (calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat and more) where the recipe has it. The figures are estimates, not dietary advice

YOUR OWN RECIPES
- Add your own recipes, or edit any recipe to suit how you make it
- Share a recipe with friends and family through any app on your phone

FREE, WITH ADS
PerliChef is free. It shows a small banner ad at the bottom of the screen, on its own row so it never covers a recipe, and occasionally a full-screen ad after you close a recipe. A full-screen ad is never shown while a recipe is open. A one-time Remove ads purchase turns all ads off.

PRIVACY
Sign in with your Google account to start. Your favourites, your own recipes and your settings are kept on your phone, and sync across your devices, encrypted, as soon as you sign in. No extra password to remember. The recipe library is downloaded the same for everyone. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID; in the EU and UK you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice in Settings. Optional usage statistics are off by default and stay on your phone.
