Love this game. More early Dai Henryk than Advance Wars, and all the better for it. And despite the simplicity, some innovative things in play; step terrain levels, ZOC's can be ignored by aircraft, transported infantry can disembark and still move, and attack or capture. Halfway through the missions, for me the AI makes a decent sparring partner but can be exploited - I think turn limits would help. And please add more maps, I'd pay for it.

At its core, this is a simple turn-based unit battle game on a 2d map in which stronger units triumph over the weaker. To its credit, this app adds complexities, from terrain limitations, the transport of unmounted units and unit damage, to necessities such as supply lines for the units' needs to replenish petrol and ammo. If one measure of a strategy game, is that position and tactics may outweigh brute strength, then this game passes the test, even while remaining a small, simple game app.

The controls when you go to attack someone sometimes it moves you but ends your units turn before You can attack. Second the tutorial isn't that good. It doesn't explain how You can't seem to attack someone bc of the of it being in the woods or on a montain. You should make it where You can still attack them in the woods just a small defense boost for them bc people in war do sometimes fight in the woods. No way to transport more than one man and no vehicles across the water. Fix these things,5 stars

So far, I found targeting to be impossible against enemy aircraft over buildings, cannot take back a wrong purchase and half of the rules are hidden from the player.
