PHED MIZORAM STAFF

The Mizoram Government, (PHED) Public health Engineering Department has recently launched an Enterprise Android Mobile App for its PHE Officers and Staff, called “PHED MIZORAM STAFF” as an initiative to promote the Smart Water programme for New-age Governance, as “PHE MIZORAM STAFF”, is already available for download from Google Play store for use of the PHE Officials only.

The following features containing in the PHED Department (Staff) mobile app:
- New Connection Application Status Tracking & Checking
- Search Consumer bills and payments history
- Monitoring the Reservoir & Zonal Tank Water Level
- Send water release notifications
- Check & Monitor the Consumer Complaints / Feedbacks
- Alert and Verify Non-Functional Meters
- Upload Consumer Document & Location Images
- Connection Check & Audit Purpose
- Internal Department Staff Chat room
- And many more facilities which will get built on the same platform.

The Mobile app will cater to the manage the city's 50,000 + water connections and in the next phase all the district wise connections which may total to 1 Lakh + Connections , The Department Staff will be offered training on the usage of the mobile app as the first release of the app has limited functionality and every quarter new releases will happen based on the departments feedback and additional requirements will be documented to make it more user friendly and adaptable to the functioning of the Department.

The App consolidates and makes accessible from the field, information and tools that water utility operators and their response partners may need during an emergency. Downloading Response On-The-Go can help responders and stakeholders increase situational awareness, facilitate coordination, and enhance overall response efforts.

Available for Android devices, the app also utilizes an “offline” mode to capture data without an Internet connection, offering official’s additional flexibility to operate the app in the internet network challenged locations of Mizoram.

Leveraging the advanced analytics capabilities available on the Central ERP, the PHE Officials will be able to make decisions to ensure that available water is efficiently pumped to every house/ commercial establishment in the City.

This app will help integrating water treatment systems Pipelines with information and control systems for the efficient utilization of the distribution and pumping network and mobile application will be used for field operations and maintenance by the PHE staff to gain access to utility information.
