First setup is simple: start the camera on your phone, open the IP/address shown by the app on your PC, install the companion app, and approve the video and audio drivers once. After that, the virtual webcam and microphone are available in Windows.

Your phone microphone can work as a PC mic too. The PC companion shows you the exact virtual camera and microphone names to select inside your video app.

CONNECT YOUR WAY
• Wi-Fi — phone and PC on the same network. Best quality, easy setup, fully wireless.
• USB — connect with a USB cable and USB tethering. Great if you have no Wi-Fi router, only a modem without Wi-Fi, or you want a rock-solid wired link with the lowest latency. Same great quality as Wi-Fi.
• Bluetooth — pair the phone and PC and use Bluetooth tethering. No Wi-Fi and no cable needed. Quality is lower than Wi-Fi or USB because Bluetooth bandwidth is limited, but it is a convenient wireless option when you have nothing else.

ONE-TIME SETUP
Do this once on your PC:
1. Install Phone As WebCam on your Android phone.
2. Open the phone app and press Start so it shows the PC setup address/IP.
3. On your Windows PC, open that address and download the free Phone As WebCam companion app.
4. Install the companion app. It guides you through the required virtual camera and virtual microphone driver activation.
5. Approve the Windows admin/UAC prompts when asked. This authorization is needed only once for the webcam and microphone drivers.

After the first setup, daily use is simple: open the phone app, open the PC companion, and connect by Wi-Fi, USB, or Bluetooth. On the same Wi-Fi network, the PC companion auto-detects your phone, so normal webcam use does not require typing an IP again.

HOW TO USE
1. Open Phone As WebCam on your phone and press Start.
2. Open the Phone As WebCam companion on your PC.
3. Choose Wi-Fi, USB, or Bluetooth and connect.
4. In your video app, select the virtual camera name shown by the companion app.
5. Select the virtual microphone name shown by the companion app. Done — most apps remember this choice.

EXTRA OBS OPTION
For creators, the IP/address shown by the phone app can also be used as a direct OBS/browser source. This is useful for streaming, recording, or multi-camera setups.
