Hi. Overall, the app is great. I just couldn't find a way of correcting the species name since it was not listed. I saw a Plagionotus floral is (syn. Echinoderms floral is, syn. Paraplagionotus floral is) and none of these scientific names were listed. Therefore, it stayed misidentified.

It's been accurate and dependable every single time with lots of information about the insects!! I wish it would show more stock photos once you figure out what the insect is. Also, would like pics of Bites &/or Stings from poisonous insects, so you have an idea what's going to happen to you w/o having to leave the app and G<>gle it? Very minor things. Excellent! I installed the app, I pointed my phone at the spider, took the photo and discovered my first ever Bearded Foot Spider! It then asked for a thirty quid annual sub (the app, not the spider) which, if I was a rambler and a bug geek, I would happily have paid. But I'm not, so I didn't, but a freaking awesome app anyway: instant, correct identification! Gave the spider some of my dinner and sent him on his way.

The app is mid to mediocre at detecting bugs, but my main problem is that the app purposely gate keeps effects on humans. I know that you can just search up if certain bugs are venomous, and I understand how much this app probably cost to maintain, but gatekeeping probably the most important information feels just a little scummy to me. Also, I dislike the use of AI (Not for detecting the bugs, but to use as a chatbot)

"Hey so this insect you identified is very dangerous for humans. Anyway to view information that could save your life you have to pay a subscription!" and so... there's a potentially deadly spider in my bedroom I still don't know what species it is 😁
