Pili

Every house has a corner that has been like that for two years. The sofa you replaced. The cot she outgrew. The blender you used twice.

Pili is where those things find someone who wants them.

HOW IT WORKS

Photograph the item. Name it, set a price, publish. It takes about a minute, and listing is free.

People near you see it first. Not someone three counties away asking about delivery — the person two streets over who has been looking for exactly that.

When somebody is interested, you talk inside the app. Your phone number stays private, and you can block anyone.

MEETING SAFELY

Pili does not handle money. You meet, and you pay each other directly.

What Pili does is make the handover count. The buyer gets a private four-digit code. They give it to the seller only once the item is in their hands and they are happy with it. The seller enters it, and the sale is recorded.

That is also the only way anyone can leave a rating on Pili. No confirmed handover, no review — which is why the ratings here are worth reading.

One rule worth repeating: never send money for something you have not seen. No deposits to hold an item, no transport money, no booking fees. If somebody asks, Pili warns you, and you can report them in two taps.

WHAT YOU CAN SELL

Furniture — sofas, beds, tables, wardrobes, chairs
Home appliances — fridges, cookers, microwaves, washing machines
Fashion — clothes, shoes, bags
Baby and kids — cots, prams, car seats, clothes, toys

Selling an appliance? Add the receipt or a photo of the serial number and your listing carries a proof badge. Buyers pick those first.

THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Listing is free, and always will be for ordinary selling.
Ten items live at a time. Listings run for 30 days and can be relisted in one tap.
Give things away free if you would rather they just went to a good home.
Save anything you like and come back to it later.
We check your location once, to find your neighbourhood. We never store where you live — other people only ever see the area name.

WHO IT IS FOR

Anyone moving house. Anyone whose children have outgrown a room full of things. Anyone who has been meaning to deal with that corner since last year.

Your house is holding money. This is how you get it out.

Photograph something you no longer use, set a price, and people near you can see it. Listing is free.

Talk to buyers in the app without giving out your number. When you meet, a four-digit code confirms the handover — and that's the only way a rating can be left, so the ratings here mean something.
